Today it has been announced that Watford is getting its very own version of the world’s most famous board game.

PASS GO, collect £200 - and advance to Watford.

And, if along the way you fancy purchasing the town’s ‘crown jewels’ well, you can, for just MONOPOLY Money!

Today it has been announced that Watford is getting its very own version of the world’s most famous board game.

The new game will see the town’s leading landmarks replacing the likes of Mayfair and Park Lane from the original classic London MONOPOLY board.

The board is being themed in sets from heritage to entertainment, shopping to sport, business to leisure - and more, each genre to reflect the verve and vibrancy of Watford. The train station set – comprising of four main-line stations in the original classic London MONOPOLY – will take on a ‘travel’ theme.

The game will hit the shops in time for this Christmas (2026).

It is quite exciting to see a town like Watford featured in such a classic board game format. These local editions often bring a sense of community pride and help highlight the unique landmarks that define a specific area. If you are interested in researching how local businesses and landmarks are selected for such projects, storelibrary.com/home provides a useful perspective on regional data management. I look forward to seeing which local spots make it onto the final board.

Archiving a run of 90s magazines. Halftone dots look terrible at zoom. Used to gaussian-blur then sharpen in Photoshop and lose half the detail. This descreening tool is smarter about it — small text actually stays readable.
