Spooky things to do in Watford this Halloween half term 🎃👻
Halloween is creeping up on us, and if you're looking for ways to keep the little monsters entertained this half term, Watford has a few treats (or tricks 👀...) up its sleeve!
From hunting for hidden ghosts to exploring a spooky trail in Cassiobury Park, there are plenty of ways to get into the Halloween spirit. So grab your costume and get these dates in your diary!
First up, you can get into the Halloween spirit with an Outdoor Halloween Trail at Cassiobury Park on Sunday 25 October, from 1pm. It’s a chance to get outdoors and explore the park whilst hunting for spooky photos and earning treats along the way… Don’t forget to book your place in advance. 🕸️

Also on Sunday 25 October, head to The Henderson Hub on High Street in Abbots Langley for Inclusive Halloween Celebrations with NeuroRelate, from 1pm to 4pm. This fun, welcoming event is designed to help children and families take part in Halloween festivities comfortably and safely! 🎃
Then, from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October, the ghosts are taking over Watford Town Centre! The Trick-or-Treat Trail will see multiple ghosts hiding in shop windows along the High Street and The Parade. Find them, pop into the participating shop and say “TRICK OR TREAT!” to collect your treat! 🍬
Got little ones who love a story? On Wednesday 28 October, Inside Stroytime is coming to Cassiobury Park from 11am to 12pm. Children aged 2 to 5 can enjoy a special reading of That’s Not My Bat by Fiona Watt, followed by a themed craft activity. An adult must accompany children. Booking required. 🦇

Next up, the night before Halloween…Market Lates returns to Watford Market from 6pm. Expect street food, live music and a spOoOoOoky twist on the usual evening night out. No entry fee, and fancy dress is encouraged, so why not dust your costume off early and make a night of it? 🎃

And just when you thought things couldn’t get any more spookier…
We have a jam packed line up for the 31 October! Starting with a FREE haunted house at Pondside, running from 3pm to 7pm. Do you DARE to enter? 🧟
If that hasn’t scared you enough, the free Trick-or-Treat Show will also take place at Pondside from 5pm to 6pm, with Halloween Street performances, including dances and a contortionist! 🔥
So, whether you’re looking for a way to entertain your little monsters, or even just looking for an excuse to dress up, there’s plenty happening to make this half term fang-tanstic! 🧛

Now, the only question is… Trick or Treat? 🍬
Keep an eye on Watford Actually for more events, things to do and reasons to get out and explore your town!
