Description
A much-loved part of Cassiobury Park is celebrating a special milestone this November, as the Tea Pavilion marks 100 years of bringing people together in Watford.
The pavilion, currently operated by Café in the Park, has been a familiar feature of the park for generations. To celebrate, residents and visitors are being invited to share their photographs and memories, helping to capture the place it holds in Watford’s history.
Join the celebrations on Saturday 14 November, with Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor joining the festivities for a special cake-cutting ceremony during the first half of the event. Cake will be available on a first come, first served basis. Live music spanning the 1920s to the present day will run from 11am to 1pm.
A collection of photographs and images will offer a glimpse into the Tea Pavilion’s 100-year history and its place in Cassiobury Park. The collection is planned to be on display from the week commencing 9 November until 1 December. A history talk with Friends of Cassiobury Park is also planned for Tuesday 17 November.
