Strong You - International Women's Day Event

Strong You - International Women's Day Event

5 March 2026 at 00:00:00

Strong You is a transformative creative project born from truth, resilience, and the power of self-recognition. It exists to honour the inner strength in every woman whose journey has weathered storms, sorrows, and self-doubt — and emerged with courage still beating.

,,

Why Strong You?
,, Because strength is never a single moment. It’s the quiet courage to rise again. Many women carry stories hidden in plain sight — stories of survival, reinvention, and heartfelt perseverance. Strong You gives shape and voice to that strength, turning lived experience into visual art that resonates, inspires, and uplifts.

,,

Who’s it for?
,, This project is for every woman who has:
,, • Felt underestimated but found her voice
,, • Raised herself up on days when hope felt thin
,, • Braved insecurity and found belonging within herself
,, • Walked through struggle and still shows up with grace

,,

It’s for women reclaiming their narrative, and the communities that champion them.

,,

One YMCA
,, Through a collaboration with One YMCA, Strong You will be shared with local women and communities to spark connection and conversation. This partnership brings the artwork into spaces where women gather, grow, and support each other — bridging art and empowerment in real-world places where strength is built and felt.

,,

What it includes

,,

🍽️ A shared dinner in a safe, welcoming space
,, 🎨 A series of striking Strong You artworks — each celebrating a facet of inner strength
,, 📖 Reflections and themes woven into visual storytelling
,, 🌍 Community showcases and shared experiences
,, 📲 Connected resources, insights and inspiration through the project platform

,,

Together, these elements form a powerful tribute to the depth of women’s lived strength — not just what they’ve endured, but how they continue to bloom.
